Workshop Developer
Remote
Babylon Migrants Project is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Workshop Developer to help us refine and develop the portfolio of workshops we deliver for other organisations. A key part of the role will be working with our Leap graduates - a cohort of young people with lived experience of displacement who have trained with Babylon as facilitators - to develop workshops on subjects they are passionate about. You will also be working with the wider Babylon team to refine existing workshops and develop new workshops which align with our mission and focus.
The role will be freelance for 7 days at £150/day, spread over May/June 2025.

About Us
Babylon Project is a Community Interest Company which runs creative activities by and for young people from refugee, asylum seeking and migrant backgrounds. We provide a safe and welcoming environment in which young people can take part in creative activities such as drama, storytelling, film-making and art.
Established in October 2022, Babylon Project has already made a significant impact in empowering young people through creative and community building activities. We run creative workshops and activities twice a month for refugees and asylum seekers aged 16-30 in London and Stoke-on-Trent, supporting them to hone their existing creative skills and gain new ones, boost their confidence, and make new friends. Through our workshops, participants gain and develop their skills in a range of artistic forms, such as art, theatre, storytelling, and film-making.
Alongside our community workshops, we facilitate workshops for external audiences, including other charities like the Refugee Council, the Red Cross, and UNHCR, and corporate organisations like Ben & Jerry’s. Our workshops use the creative arts as a vehicle for exploring themes such as community, wellbeing, and refugee experiences, while fostering cultural exchange and solidarity. By delivering these workshops, we seek to spread awareness of the challenges that young refugees face in the UK, challenge negative stereotypes surrounding refugees, and equip others with the knowledge and creative tools to advocate for refugees within their communities. With partners and collaborators such as Safe Passage, Red Cross, Little Amal, Fences and Frontiers, Dost, and Compass Collective, we have collectively run over 100 workshops, reaching over 1600 participants.
