OUR #5KMAY
CHALLENGE
Are you up for a challenge? Get active and make a difference with our exciting 5k May campaign!
Whether you prefer walking, running, or cycling, getting involved is easy! With just three steps, your support will directly impact our work and the opportunities provided to refugees, asylum seekers and migrants here in London. Simply run, swim, walk or cycle 5 kilometres, donate to our fundraiser and nominate 5 others to get involved too! Get started today.
HOW TO TAKE PART
1. RUN, WALK, CYCLE OR SWIM 5K.
During the month of May, we're encouraging all of our supporters (you!) to help us collect kilometres and move with us for #5KMAY. This could be with a walk with friends, a run in the park or even a swim in your favourite pool! No matter your fitness level or ability, everyone can join in. Join our Strava Club below to track your distances, join the weekly challenges and to stay connected.
2. DONATE
Our #5KMAY Challenge is raising funds to support our project and free workshops. With your help, we'll be able to secure future workshops and the tools needed to provide creative opportunities, safe spaces and community support to all migrants, refugees and asylum seekers that participant in our projects. From as little as £5 to provide food for one participant in one workshop, to £400 which supports an entire workshop, every donation makes a difference.
3. NOMINATE 5 FRIENDS
Help us spread the support and fun by nominating 5 friends and family to get involved too! We love to share our work with others and want to encourage more participants to join our workshops. With your support, we can reach more people than ever! Follow us on social media, join our newsletters with the link at the bottom and race with your loved ones in our Strava group!
JOIN OUR #5KMAY LONDON EVENT
In celebration of our #5KMAY Challenge, we'd love to invite you to our Friends of Babylon Walk and Picnic. Taking place on Saturday 20th May, 12pm at Victoria Park in London, we encourage you all to invite your friends and family to our in-person event where we'll join the challenge with our own 5K walk and end with a picnic in the park together.
